lvl 80 Take 4

I've been busy leveling up my Alts some time now and working on my Hunter I finally got Krovon leveled up to 80 last night with my 79 croc pet Crocky. He was at lvl 70 for over a year since back in tBC, so its finally good to finish off what I started. So getting my Hunter to lvl 80 makes my 4th 80 now having leveled 3 of them my Shaman, Death Knight and Hunter up all in last few short months alone.

He leveled up really fast and with 2 pieces of mail heirloom the Shoulder and the Chest piece for the 20% XP as well having rest bonus to spare from lvl 70 all the way to 80. It was often Fun and Fast leveling up since I only leveled my Hunter while he had rest bonus. Still had 80% rest bonus hitting 80 and made it more pleasurable. Often just fun for a change of things.

Got to kill a Rare Elite in Storm Peaks (Vyragosa) on verge of hitting 80. I was totally surprise to even find this Rare Elite as I was the furthest thing from my mind to do. But was flying g up to N.Storm Peaks and spotted this odd looking Blue Dragon flying off to my left which seemed out of place and never seen before. I though to self, how odd that Dragon in this area. Curiously moused over him and said "Rare". So started chasing him down and sent Crocky after him and got the Nothern Exposure Achievement. It dropped a nice Blue 78 BoE leather helm and a Satchel of stuff with 19g for the booty. I got to skin the Dragon for Icy Dragonscale and leave no trace of its existence as well. Was a nice surprise and Achievement find.

Caught Vyragosa traveling the route from south in Western Storm Peaks up the frozen waterfall way up past Frosthold where the flying banshee looking mobs are then straight up past the cave in the area. From there it traveled north past Valkyrion and straight up north into the Snowdrift Plains going the north route as if heading straight north up to Ulduar. I was able to catch it right before it entered the narrow mountain pass on the Snowdrift Plains before it got to the Ulduar ruin area since lots of mobs were around. Think it had around 40K HP and wasn't too hard to kill.

But if you want to catch this Rare Elite for the Achievement that's a route you can travel to maybe a chance to catch it if your lucky. Always fun chasing down a Rare spawn.

Pets I have - Ferocity: 76 Drakuru Raptor, 76 Ghostpaw Alpha Wolf, 75 Dire Raven.
Pets I have - Tenacity: 80 Snowdrift Jormungar Worm, 79 Mangal Crocolisk.

Skinning & Mining for Dollars

Played on Krovon my Hunter a bit doing SSO Dailies and now Revered with SSO. Also went out farming later with the mind set to just farm something for some $. So was in SMV mining a bit and somehow stumbled my way into a Coilskar Cave in SMV which I had never seen before.

This place was really fun as a Hunter just exploring while mining and skinning the Cobras. Somehow had just missed this place the entire time in Outland. Anyway I really enjoyed exploring this cave and it felt like being in Colifang Reservoir. After a while of playing around there and exploring left with about a dozen Cobra Scales from the Coilskar Cobras there and in the area around it.

Sold all on AH for 35-40g made some nice profit by the next day. Though about this later then went farming in Western Nagrand on the Twilight Serpents there a bit and picked up another a few more Cobra Scales. Profit was good to say the least. These skins are profitable as a Skinner at least on my server it is.

My Hunter is a double gatherer and does it for the pure income aspect and quite enjoy it. I like having hard currency to play with from gathering. Did some more mining around Outland like everywhere and found it highly profitable as well. Adamantite Ore and other Ore sell well (On my Server) and made some more good profits on AH timing the AH market. Later sold my Blade of Wizardry I had picked up killing stuff around the BT area that I had stached in my Bank some months now. Sold it for a modest 1500g. All in all ended up the weekend 4000g richer in the Warchest for the weekend. Not bad for the week and weekend.

Badges of Justice
Ran some Heroics on Galo picked up another 8 so now up to 84 badges. May pick up two piece of Badge gear when I hit 95 the Bracer and the Guantlet maybe.

Hunter New Mount: A War Talbuk

Yeah its not my Paladin he goes to ZA this weekend. But needed to level up Razorthorn my lvl 65 Ravager so I figure that I do something that gives me reps while I'm at it. So went grinding away in Nagrand at the caves with a bit of focus on the task for a few hours. In the process got Razorthorn to 67, got Exalted with The Mag'har, and as a side benefit got Krovon a new Epic Ride and ditched the Chicken. Did lots of mining in the process as well for profiting. Wasn't too bad really I did have fun, Traping, Multi-shoting and all that goodness even though didn't need to when you can kill stuff rapidly. It was just making something your doing fun with a purpose.

Didn't think of it as a grind, since was leveling up my Pet which I needed to do anyway. However its all done and got it done all in one session from Revered to Exalted about 20k in reps since I was barely Revered before. Does really look nice for a Hunter riding a War Cobalt Talbuk, much better than riding around when on the ground on a Chicken. Not bad for a newly minted 70 Hunter either.

Perspective of Gearing My Alt Hunter

Was working on this after I hit 70 on my Hunter a few days ago, but was just kinda beat after working the weekend and then trying to lvl my Hunter on Monday morning after working all night. After getting to 70 I went to bed and sleep all the way to Tuesday. Turns out I missed a entire day as well. I think I was really beat! Then on Tuesday after work spent all night in Shatt trying to find some Enchants for my Hunters gear. Was hard trying to find a enchanter for 2H Weapon Major Agility which I never did but eventually did yesterday.

On my way to 70 was able to start picking up a few things. From 65-70 Hunter pretty much had somewhat decent gear. It was entirely "Of the Bandit Gear" which I had sitting in my Alt Bank. I had read a post way way back that BRK did for WoWInsider last year that I had it bookmarked for some reason in a folder I had on my Desktop of all kinds of stuff I bookmark for later reference. So I re-read it and just went through the list of stuff i could easily pickup. That also allowed me to research other things as well from the reference list. Then I say BRK had a related post a few days ago and though it was Ironic as well.

My Hunter by craft is a Skinner and Miner, a gather for short and like both craft. So can't make much use of having LW to craft any nice Epic pieces that some LW can do right off the bat. So on the way to 70 on my Hunter was able to check AH and pickup the Crystalforged War Axe for about 45g a good deal on my AH. Picked up a Felstalker Bracer for about 40g or so which seemed cheap given the out of space price of Primal Air on my server and to craft one as well in mats. The two other piece of Felstalker Armor Set the Chest and the Belt I pretty much had most the mats since my Hunter does skinning and had lots of mats. Only thing I needed was Primal Air. I didn't feel like going out to farm any. So I coughed a bit and bought about 12 Primal Air on AH at around 31g a pop. Then had a guild LW craft the other Felstalker Belt and Felstalker Chest piece which gave me the three piece bonus for Hit Rating and is a really nice Blue set.

Getting to 70 was already Honored with Thrallmar, so was able to pick up the rep piece the Stalker's Chain Guantlets. From CE since was Honored was able to get the Stalker's Chain Leggings right away as well. Was already revered with The Mag'har in Negrand so was able to get the Talbuk Hide Spaulders. Since I did more end leveling in Netherstorm had already done a easy quest that gave me some nice green boots Duro Footgear. Turned out Hunters mail boots are hard to find and the greens were pretty good already though can still pick up another pair questing in SMV on a long chain quest somewhat similiar. However I know a nice pair of Mail Boots for Hunters drop in Heroic Botanica on the last boss, hell when I'm tanking it drops more time than I can count, so should be easily obtainable. I had a Valano's Longbow sitting in the bank some time now so was able to equip that. Rest of gear was just stuff from Blue quest rewards leveling to 70. I still had 2 lvl 68 Rings of the Bandit with decent stats equipped.

Was able to get some raw gems cut and got the gems to completely gems every gems slot of the Felstalker set which gave some pretty decent stats. I picked up a Armor Kit in AH for the leggings at not too bad a price and slapped that on. I had some Arcane dust sitting around so was able to get some AP enchants for Gloves and Bracers. Got some enchants for the shoulders as well. Got the Crystalforged War Axe Enchanted and got a Adamantite Scope for the new Bow. When it was all done had every piece of blue completely gemmed and every piece of gear enchanted with exception the the Helm which requires CE Revered to obtain not too hard to do.

Its just Blue gear with a few green pieces and had it all hooked up within a few hours of getting to 70. It looked pretty decent. So I was in Org and Shatt since I was back and forth to AH and started looking at other Hunters gear to see how do I fare just being a new 70 as well as seeing if I see something I can easily obtain as well. I was completely shocked I what I saw with some Hunters and their gear. Now they were some Hunters with really Impressive gear and gave me some ideas looking at the gear and pieces. Most of what I saw just about everything was PvP gear mostly. But I saw lvl 70's wearing Merciless and Gladiator gear and still had on lvl 50+ greens. While the Epic piece looked nice it was a bit soured seeing several green gear next to it.

Saw one Hunters still had on SM gear, which was really unbelivable standing at the mailbox with Epic PvP gear on as well. Almost wished I could say something to ask the person a question but I didn't. Saw some (Not All) Hunters with 2-3 pieces of Arena season gear of some sort with absolutely no gems, no enchants and then along side with that low level 60's gear. I was a bit shocked to say the least. Because here I was a brand new 70 not even 2hrs old and I had already switched up to mostly decent Blues and had my gear almost fully enchanted up and gemmed up already. Some Hunters that I saw had various season gear and barely done much to it. So I was quite amazed to say the least and shocked in some ways. I can only imagine these are some of the players that show up in PuGs of all sort including mine when I'm tanking a run.

Now I know with Hunters it mostly Skill in how you play the class and I learn that well leveling a Hunter. I learn they can do really Amazing DPS played well. But it was amazing to see how some Hunters don't seem to take some sense of pride in the gear they wear or lack of effort to get better gear which don't take that much effort. Call it laziness or whatever. But If a Tank shows up in a 5 man or Heroics in crappy gear or don't take some sense of pride in their gear its not going to go well or with the group at hand. So I started to see how my brand new hunter gear matches up with some my guild Hunters which we do have allot also. He looks decent compared to many the guild Hunters in similar gear.

Overall It seems my Hunter looks very decent, even just in blue compared to many that even with several pieces of Arena, BG's or other gear pieces. I would say my Hunter has good enough gear that he can go right into Kara and do fine. But Kara is not really big on my list for my Hunter, so will have fun doing 5 man Instance for fun. Then after I got a bit upset, because I remember how long it took me as a Tank to assemble a decent set of Blues to Tank Instances, Heroics and preparing to Tank Kara when I was doing that which was all locked inside a Instance. A decently geared Hunter and one with good skill and waltz into Kara just about.

I didn't find gearing up my Hunter that hard or in Blues. Pretty damn easy by far compared to gearing up as a Tank. So for now my little Hunter is working on SSO and Skyguard dailies a bit.

Screenshot: MY Hunter Dinging 70

My BM Hunter Krovon & Razortalon Dinging 70 in SMV just outside Horde Camp doing a collection quest. It's always fun to try and capture the screenshot right as it happens. Runs Back to Camp to get Flying Mount.

Pets
Razortalon - Raven. Tank. He AoE aren't that great. Love screech!
Razorclaw - Owl. DPS pet. He AoE too. Imagine that.
Razorthorn - Ravager. DPS pet. My other Wicked pet.

Krovon paid for his own Flying Skills. Galo Private Investment Banker Alt lent him the dough to get a Green Epic Flying Mount. So he now owes my Alt Banker loan repayment plus interest. Better get to work lad to start repaying that loan off and replace that Bandit outfit while your at it too pronto! No Welfare here.

Screenshots - Krovon the Hunter & His Pet

Krovon the Hunter and his new tamed pet "Ravager" pose for a picture in Silvermoon. I like my awsome & fearsome pet. He's a carnivore, born to kill (DPS) and he loves raw meat. Just what i want in a pet - A Killing Machine. This Hunter don't want any cute pets! This Hunter wants Killer Beasts for Pets to do his biddings.

My Little Alt Brother - Krovon

I now have a Alts Brother named "Krovon" the Hunter. I'm not keen on having many characters as been a Protection Paladin is my main character and what i love to play, i just like Melee combat. But I'm also a avid reader of Peter's Blog and been a daily reader he got me curious in trying out a Hunter since he has a new Hunter. Yeah i read BRK - Big Red Kitty's blog, always funny to read, but its interesting. I often reads his blog just for the funny humor of been a Hunter even though I'm a paladin, just never know what you will learn or pickup so i read many people's blog. Just wider understanding of all things with a grain of salt it is... but mainly its just Paladin stuff i prefer to read.... for now.

However a new Hunter has been born and "Krovon" will some day make a fine Hunter. I'm gonna learn from BRK so I'm sure I'm gonna be one. I get to read Peters Blog of his daily happenings and funnies so i will sure to do just fine, plus he's one of the most daily consistent blogger on WoW i know of as a player. BRK i read for mainly tactical learning, concepts and just things i need to learn Hunter related. I usually play a Paladin so I'm mostly focused on one class, though much Hunters around, i usually had no idea what a Feign Death was as i do have a good Hunter Friend. Often i just though he died so suddenly and once i tried to resurrect him, was funny. Peter's Blog i read and lean a bit from as its more daily happenings guide, learning and interesting to learn through the eyes of another player learning their class and that's always more interesting as its relatable. I like Peters humor which is much better than mine so all great.

I got Krovon leveled up in just a few short hours and i think he's now a lvl 14 and lives in Blood Elf (BE) area of Silvermoon currently. Krovon has proven his tenacity to be a Hunter beyond his measure at a young age. At 10 he ventured to Thunder Bluff alone to get him some wide array of training for Swords, Axes, Staff, Guns from weapons master there, he's taken a bit ofter Galo as his older brother is versatile with all offensive weapons though Hunters use their pet for that; I like to be prepared always weapons wise. At lvl 11 he ventured from there in Thunder Bluff to acquire his first real Hunter beast Pet. He then tracked across the Barren areas alone on a single minded journey which would eventually take him to "Azuremyst Isle" Alliance territory. Krovon journeyed his way from the Barrens to Ashenvale to Darkshore, the latter both areas been Alliance territories. As a lvl 11 its a pretty dangerous journey, but Krovon was a Hunter will will power and determination to acquire a proven pet that reflects the inner beast of Krovon's might and a pet worthy of taming.

Having to get a boat ride to his intended area and no way around it to Azuremyst Isle, also meant impending death for his trials. In Darkshore Krovon resorted to tactics, removed name tag and snuck right into town of Auberdine a Night Elf town and right up to the Inn there. Immediately got stopped and hack to death by NE Sentinels all around as they could detect me from a distance away, so had to do a few long corpse run back to push ahead. Tried 4 more times and eventually made it all the way from the Inn there to the end of the pier encountering the wrath of NE Sentinels guards and pier Sentry & Sentinels all the way. It was funny to see Alliance members steer at him in wonder on the pier and boat ride to Azuremyst Isle. But i was not PVP flagged so i was fine. Tip: Just don't fight back when attacked. But the Hunter made it to Azuremyst Isle, jumped off the boat pier and swam ashore and off to find him a beast. Any of the tigers could have made a fine pet there or from along the way. But he already had his beast in mind a carnivorous "Ravager". In northern Azuremyst Isle, found him a Ravager spot and tamed him his first real beast pet.

Hearted out of area back to BE area. Quest completed for first pet. Was going to call him another name but decided on calling my new pet Ravager "Ravagon". So also starts tales from the HUNT!
