Quitting Life on Silver Street

Hey AD Whats New?

Well I got a office memo a few days ago across my desk. My 3+ year old lvl 20 investment banker who resided in Silvermoon decided to quit his day job. Seems he was tired of banking and bankrolling his other band of brothers but was seeking greater adventures besides being stuck working on silver street.

Sad to see my banker quit his day job. But he's been faithfull at his job for almost 4 years bankrolling his first brother since before he was even lvl 40.

With that my 20 S.Priest decided to pack up his bags and riches and high tail it out of Silvermoon and headed off into a dangerous world seeking his own tales of adventure.

With that I had to quickly find me a new banker. My forever 24 druid that was stuck in Tarren Mills decided he could fill the job spot. Banker position filled!

All is well with the world it seems at the moment and for the last time in WotLK one of my Alts band of brothers will be making his way to 80. This time as a Shadow Priest.

Shadow boy is enjoying his new adventures melting minds and just hit lvl 41. He seems to be enjoying his new life afterall.

New LFG Random System in 3.3

Been reading notes on the new soon to come revamped LFG System and Random Instance selection feature of it and reward.

So stated thinking will this system be smart enough to lock you out and not try and group/send you to a Heroic Dungeon your already saved to for that day? Does anyone knows if it locks you out of Random group selection if your already saved to a Instance?

I would have to imagine that this new system has to be able to do that somehow.

What I Really Miss About The Game.

WotLK is and has been fun. Everyone likes different things, you and me both.

It's a minority view maybe, but I miss allot of the game challenges. As well I really miss the days when it was really challenging to be a Tank or a Good Tank at least, but thats my view from my experience. These days any idiot if they are can tank just about! And as a result I believe you have more lazy DPSer's and Healers. And Tanks as well going full circle.

I miss the days of tBC when in Heroics mobs actually murdered people. Yes I may be one sick Veteran Tank. But it was damn thrilling to know back in tBC if you couldn't think and execute pulls with some logic and challenge as a good Tank, healers got murdered in one hit, incompetent DPSers got their ass kicked and lazy Tanks was shown to be lazy and incompetent.

Yes i enjoyed those days every bit! It was thrilling to know doing things and executing things as a Tank was that challenging. It may not be what you miss about the game or old days, but it's what I personally miss about my game and it's my opinion as well. That don't make it wrong or right. It's what I miss for the thrill of Tanking.

These days it's just about AoE everything, let's all be lazy together and stand in the back and just AoE as well for the easy ride of a faceroll to purple loot. Hey AoEing is fun, i enjoy that too at times. But i miss some of the dungeon tactics of the past that does involve a bit of thinking. Some people won't agree with that and thats fine, this may not be what you miss about the game, it could be something else and thats all fine. But i'm different from you in what i find fun or enjoyable and what i miss just won't be the same for you based on how i've played the game.

My Favorite Instance. Even with WotLK, I'll still have to say it was Steamvault! People used to get murdered their for being incompetent with actually using their skill set or not knowing how to use them. It was nothing faceroll about running Steamvault back in tBC or Shadow Labs either. Yes I'm one sick Paladin maybe. Maybe I'm just a bit twisted by the light in my ways.

Reality Check

Truth be told nerfs and the constant incoming Paladin nerfs seems to be a way of life from week to week.

Whatever!

So which do you believe: Tanks dressing up in their well maintained awesome healing gear and doing awesome unkillable healing in PvP in a tanking build? Or do you believe Holy Paladins taking advantage of PvP and game changes and using a Protect tanking build wearing their already handy Holy Spell power gear in PvP and being unkillable healing gods in a Protect tanking build?

How many tanks running around with fully well maintained healing sets? Last I checked I don't have any spell power gear sitting around anywhere. But I do have a usable Ret set. So do many Tanks I know have a viable Ret set they use for dual spec. I'm sure some tanks dual as Holy as well though insure more are Ret than Holy spec.

I get sick and tired of all the buffing and then nerfing and nerfing from PvP affecting PvE. I used to get sick and tired of my full time Retribution brothers acting up in PvP and getting me the Protect Paladin nerfed. As well as fake Protect Paladins in spell power gear getting me nerfed as well.

Whatever! I just don't care to worry about it anymore. We will get nerfed again real soon. Whatever!

Expansion news seem to be hot and everywhere.

So Goblin or Worgen? Well...... Horde! That's my answer and I'm sticking to it.

My E.Shaman is almost 78. Shamans are fun!

How's my Paladin in 3.2? Well haven't played him any since 3.2. Right now I'm playing my Shaman getting him to 80 whenever that is and I'm sticking to it.

Faction Pride, FOR THE HORDE!

Seems quite many people seem to be excited about Blizzard announcement that you can maybe change your faction. Possibly coming soon, whenever that is.

So people seem to be quite excited about switching faction and more unbeliveably changing races. You know that alliance character I've been playing I'm tired of it, I want to become a Tauren. No wait I really want to switch my gnome to a Orc and join the Horde. And when I get sick of those horde people I want to switch back and join the alliance.

I could believe allot of things. How the hell does a person of one race get completely switched into another. How does a Tauren go on a diet and suddenly become a Gnome or vice versa? I could more believe that a person somehow defect from the alliance or horde and somehow switch factions through some quest or something like that. All of a sudden BE's wana be Gnomes and join the alliance. That's nuts! Blizzard seem to be opening a can of worms with these changes and faction balance issues. They should be conquences for committing such treason.

Where is your faction pride! To whom do you pledge your loyalty?

This service will be fun it seem for many to indulge in. I'm as likely to join them evil alliance as I'm likely to walk on the frozen surface of the sun. Buddy it aren't happening! On some thing I aren't wavering even for a game. I love my faction. I'm for the Horde all the way to the core! That pledge is air tight.

I'll knock Galo upside the head with something real blunt and put him in a permanent coma before he ever gets and grand idea of joining the alliance.

That's my faction pride! I'm FOR THE HORDE! Always have and always will be.

Lots of Dead Blogs

Seems like allot of dead or no longer updated blogs around these days. Getting tough to find stuff to read as well after sliding down my own list that I read as well other blog list on some other blog sites. Many seem to be quitting or just no longer update their blogs anymore.

Tough finding enough good stuff to read when I'm mobile or at work as well.

Twilight Zone Pt 2: Guild Office Memo.

Something was definetely in the air.

Office Memo recieved 05/18/09 0133 from guild GM Warrior. The end has come. Due to RL issue and other things related to raiding requirements and lack of guild endgame raider dedication he will be quitting WoW and not renewing his account. You may or will have to eventually find a new home.

You are now even deeper in the Twilight Zone!

I was a original member of our first guild signing the guild charter before our guild second incarnation into it's current form when due to RL issues our first GM and his wife quit. He was also a friend, was a sad time back then. I've been here from the beginning. I've seen many changes. I've stated through thick and thin when many came and went so the guild would have some good core members at heart.

I had plenty of time to move on but choose not to. I actually like and respected our GM. We've had good memories togeather all the way back in Kara. So it's sad to hear he's actually quitting.

Yet I understand it as well why he's leaving. I sometime feel it as well.

Change has come to our guild.

Really does feel like the Twilight Zone.

Paladins: Nerf, Nerf, Nerf, Nerf, Nerfs!

Our class just got Nerfed yet again! When will this cursed Nerfing nightmare ever finally end?

What will the next Class Wide Nerf be for?

I'm not sure I can stand another Class Wide Nerf due to PvP affecting PvE. I'm just a PvE player, I don't even do PvP.

It's beyond stupid now.

Sinister Evil Invades Azeroth

So it's began and probably the evil plot of the Lich King to take over Azeroth by spreading his infectious plague all over Azeroth. Hmm fun times to be of Holy origins. I guess its up to the Argent Dawn as well the Priests and Paladin of the world to save Azeroth from total Scourge infestation by this conspiracy.

Frozen Wrath is upon Us!

Not much happened over the weekend as i didn't play much of Beta. For what i did play i just went and did some Ice Fishing to see what was there but otherwise i just went exploring over the various zones abit finding new things. WotLK looms everyday closer and closer everyday and the Wrath can be felt.

The Financial stock market is in metldown as well as the global financial markets. The Azeroth economy as well is in meltdown mode as speculators and others alike dump their excess inventory in preparation for WotLK. Players are doing other things than raiding and finishing leveling Alts and such. But the Wrath is already here and being felt in Azeroth and the World as well.

WotLK will be here in full effect in just barely over 30 days. The time to prepare is NOW. The time to finish getting your Azerothian lifestyle in order is NOW. Don't wait till it's too late to get the most important things YOU personally need to get done later. If you haven't started as yet, better start getting it done NOW being prepared to face the frozen Wrath of Northrend.

Don't wait, get things done NOW! Finish getting all your needed Achievements worked out NOW, not Later.

Confirmed! WotLK in Stores 11/13/08

Title says it all. As of a few mins ago Blizzard own Corporate web page at www.Blizzard.com has been updated with the WotLK release date picture. To be in stores November 13, 2008.

Where will you be that day???

Well I haven't used any vacation time at the JoB ALL Year long. Think I need to use some them days or loose it as they say.

Wooooot. Excited!!

Raiding for me at least is oficially dead, that may be different for you and your goals remaining. But for me it's all Dead. Afterall I'm in Beta as well. Rest of my time on live is working to finish up my reps to earn me another Title as a goal and the only goal left to work on. "Ambassador or Champion" sounds ideal. Time to work them undead reps when have time.

Thank goodness for Warhammer. Thank goodness for competition, so Blizz can get in gear to get stuff done vs "Its ready when we say it's Ready". Them Devs are gonna be working "Overtime" for 8 more weeks to get that product out on time. That is not a lot of time remaining.

My preorder has been in over 2 months ago at my local Game store. Yeah.

So where and what will you be doing November 13, 2008?? I'll be at my local Game Stop store at midnight. I've already preordered the collectors edition and they already told me they gonna be open as well.
