Shunning the Rat Race, lvl 85 gone Fishing

The constant burnout factor and been away from the game as long as I have as well as playing other MMO games have given me a different perspective of personal game enjoyment and how I choose to spend my time. No longer I feel the need to quickly burn myself and game enjoyment out of existence in a hurry for nothing, or join the Rat Race at lvl 85 for endgame efforts. After about 11 months away from WoW by choice and back playing the game for who knows how long, here I am having just started the new Cataclysm expansion and already facing the end of it at lvl 85 and the Rat Race beyond.

So after briefly exploring some of the Twilight Highlands I decided to do something I've always had a great love for, to do and always enjoyed the quiet times away from the rigors of combat to go Fishing. While many and most after hitting lvl 85 for their own reasons and have started their Race Race to gear up for Heroic and Raiding I've decided to go kick back at the riverside with a camp fire and go Fishing. I just choose to go do something different vs exerting my hardcore tendencies. Its a different time for me these days in WoW.

I guess I will level up a bit from 450 Fishing while I'm here kicking back enjoying the quite sounds of nature at the river relaxing and contemplating my thoughts and existence in this realm and the universe at large.

And so several hours past while enjoying one of my truly favorite past time activities in WoW as a real WoW Fisherman. I may swing elaborate shields and awesome weapons in combat to break the knees of hostile foes yet I can enjoy angling a fishing rod as well for awesome catches.

I guess I contemplate If my Paladin ever became a really old man and remembering the days of heroes, and wars of past he be hanging out with his buddy the famous fisherman Nat Pagle. Somewhere maybe crafting the latest new fishing rod and fishing away while swapping stories of past days of glory while angling awesome fish catches of the day.

Few the moments it were watching a half a dozen heroes drop by the river banks and gaze in wonder the man sitting across the river pond sitting with camp fire and fishing in the river. And then they themselves too join in interrupting the silence and fishing as well for several minutes and then probably easily grew bored and left to do other things.

Several hours after sitting by the riverside with my fishing rod, warm camp fire, enjoying the quiet sounds of nature and contemplating my existence and those of fish's here in the river or not I'm now a Illustrious Grand Master Fisherman. Having gone from from 450 Fishing to 525 Fishing all in one sitting at the river side. Yeah I caught ALLOT of fish.

No doubt I'm a real WoW Fisherman. Elsewhere in Azeroth the Rat Race goes on at full speed, I guess that's my perspective. Wherever you are in WoW, don't forget to enjoy the game, however you choose to play it for your own reasons.

Turtle Power

It helps to really enjoy fishing, because that damn Sea Turtle seems really rare and hard to fish up out of a Northrend fishing pool. Fish very regularly just for fun. A bit since the turtle was added in the recent patch. So far this week caught about 1000 fish just doing some regular fishing for tank food buffs and re-stocking up on Fish Feasts for raids. Rest of fish to sell of course. I usually stay fishing long enough to catch 100 minimum of whatever I'm there to catch or more.

So lucky me I finally fished the Sea Turtle from a fishing pool fishing for Dragonfin Angelfish and got the achievement as wellMayby not as elusive a trying to catch the most elusive Mr Pinchy, but just as hard the effort it does takes to catch the turtle unless the RNG really likes you for some reason. I can now say I've caught them both. The Sea Turtle really does swim fast as well. Yeah Baby!

Enjoy Fishing!

Its no secret my second favorite thing to do in WoW is to go fishing. I've always loved to fish as a high level fisherman. I just don't care much for the fishing achievements running around doing them. I fish for the love of it. Often like to go fish for Dragonfin Angelfish obviously. Use it to make Dragonfin Fillet. Its a valuable food buff for a Tank and of course to sell on AH. And its one thing about me. I have and always carry lots of food buffs.

I'm never going to starve as a Tank for food. I farm all of my own food.... through fishing of course. And I sure don't like to beg for food in Instances or raids. When I'm on a guild raid guess who often drops that Fish Feast for buffs for everyone else?

But as a Alchemist Tank (rare). I found a good use for making Elixir of Water Walking. Its obvious how to use it. Stand on the lake and fish. You rarely have to fight any mob. Though beware of your surroundings. If you get hit you can loose the buff so don't be crazy using it either. You only have to run around on top the lake to the next node. Sure beats fighting the mob to get to the hole on land and the next guy as well. Mount up, fly across lake, dismount and fish at node. Win. Of course it looks funny to the next guy you there standing on water as well. Its cool way to fish.

In 3.1 It seems the fishing timer has being reduced from 20 sec down to 16 sec, so seem its faster to fish. Also when you now catch a fish I've notices the splash now makes a much louder noise as well so you know you caught something. Fishing seems allot faster to me as of the patch. Of course I do it because I enjoy fishing. It also helps pays the bills as well.

Kicking Back At the Fishing Hole

Forget questing, had some fun just doing nothing but logging in and going ice fishing. Leveled Fishing all the way from 404 to 450 Max Fishing and earned the 1000 Fish Achievement at just about the same time fishing in mostly Dragonfin Angelfish and Glacial Salmon pools. AH most the Dragonfin Angelfish for 50g a stack and amazingly it was all sold this morning. I guess I must really enjoy Fishing.

Was able to lvl Cooking to 450 as well.

Fishing & Skilling at 73

Had some time to play a little bit over the weekend and managed to lvl up to 73 while just having no pressure fun. Spent most of it just doing what I often enjoy Fishing for fun as well to level up the skill a bit. As well leveling up some of the other professions a bit so I can make them useful as well for making some needed funds as well leveling.

So managed to run around mining for a while mining Cobalt and then Saronite nodes in Scholazar Basin while being chased by higher lvl mobs. Got mining leveled  from 375 all the way up to 450, while encountering ninja miners on flying mount who won't cease to hijack your node while your fighting a mob while standing on the node itself. I guess some things don't change. As a result I've just learn to stun the mob and just mine the node if in doubt and kill it after especially on Saronite nodes or better.

With all the Frostweave cloth so far collected was able to get First Aid up to 429 as well as learn the skill for Heavy Frostweave Bandages from the book that I remembered  dropped in Zul'Drak zone. I tend to use a lot of bandages all the time even though I can heal myself anyway. So wont be too long before I get the skill max leveled.

I've missed having Herbalism as a profession just because for me I like it with the way I like to work Alchemy. Herbs are expensive on AH compared to my low funds stash at the moment and had to laugh a bit as it remind me well of how I once used to profit from herbs on AH some time ago. And so far I've barely done much with Alchemy without herbs as it is since I had made the change to Mining before WotLK was released and only just now leveling to some degree months later. So Alchemy right now got leveled up to 400 just enough to be able to do Northrend Alchemy Research to learn new recipes.

But for the most part just enjoyed doing some Fishing wherever I saw pools of fish and just fishing in Dragonblight mostly for Dragonfin Angelfish and in particular to level up my cooking skills which is around 415 or so with Dragonfin Filet with the nice tank food buff (+40 Strength, +40 Stamina). Can't go wrong having a bit of that Dragonfin Filet food buff in bag or to sell the filet /fish itself on AH for some needed profit. So far fishing is around 404 and for me remain relaxing and if anything as well its profitable in many ways if you stand still for a while. Game wise I prefer to fish for my own food if possible and at least I can levelup the skill, plus its profitable to sell the fish as well if anything. And since i'm low on funds at the moment it helps to sell something at least to make some more profits and Fishing works for me.

Sreenshots WotLK Beta: Good Eats!

Nothing like being in a Party and and among your skills as a Tank your also professionally skilled as a top Chef Cook from trainer and thus dropping a big stuffed meal for a Great Feast with some Good Eats ( I like FN too) of a party buff. And if your a top Fisherman you can drop a Fish Feast if properly Chef trained as well. However the Fish meal is nowhere to be seen as yet and what Paladin wont want a meal like that to work off swinging Sword & Board or a giant Hammer.

Easy way to make friends right out the door and set your self apart especially when you hear some Mages don't even give food and water. So pays to have a few Good Eats in your bag.

Though Shall Fish and Though Shall Like It!

I'm a avid Fisherman as you well know from my fishing adventures and way before Blizzard start making it more likable to those who hate to fish and disrupting my long hold monopoly on Fish prices. Oh well.

So went on one fishing trip on the quest from Old Many Barlo outside of Shattrath for the daily fishing quest. Cast 2 lines got my quest item and back to turn it in and Barlo was so nice to give me a nice Ancient Coin for enjoying what I like to do. To my amazement I looked at the value of the coin and its worth a whopping 25 Gold! at the vendor. Plus I got the gold from the quest.

That's a Insane amount of gold for a coin! I don't know of a rusty coin in the game worth that much. Yeah Love Fishing and your trying to fine a reason to love fishing still. Pull out your Fishing Rod and get you a Ancient Coin or two.

Fishing Project: Mr Pinchy Caught & Soulbound!

Well I finally caught Mr Pinchy this morning after I caught him the first time when he actually got away. He is an extremely rare catch in Fishing if your skilled. He seem to take a while to catch this time. But it pays to have some persistence! So far I have used only one wish and received the Mr Pinchy Gift which contained 5 Super Healing Potion & 4 Super Mana Potions with a 2 days cooldown on use. I'm hoping I can at least get the non combat pet and a "Benevolent Mr Pinchy". So far I've only ever seen one person on my server with the non combat pet which is very unique pet.

So after he got away the first time when he did I made a fishing project of re-catching him again and cataloging the entire catch till he was caught. For that I had to buy me another Guild Bank Tab in my Alt Personal GuildBank to hold all the catch to log it properly.

Re-Catching Mr Pinchy
To re-catch Mr Pinchy I bought a lot of Aquadynamic Fish Attractors. Which gives over +100 fishing for 10 mins. Fishing Skill (375) + Fishing Rod (+25) + Fish attractors (100) =500 Fishing. Used a total of 33 Fish Attractors to result in a successful catch. Fished for about 30-45 min daily or when had time when Highland Mixed Pools were spawned. Basically just going to all the three Highland Lake areas. Really need at least 475 fishing to Fish in Highland mixed pools properly. Anyway everything that I caught was placed in my Alt Personal Guild Bank in a Project Tab.

Fish & Catches results:
9 Empty Slots for Furious Crawdad Stack Sold (9x20) = 180
Furious Crawdad = 347 (17 Stacks)
4 Empty Slots for Golden Darter Sold (4x20) = 80
Golden Darter = 63
Motes of Water = 61
Goldenscale Vendorfish = 4
Huge Spotted Feltail = 11
Enormous Barbed Grill Trout = 9
17 Crates (One was opened thus the Fel Iron)
23 Inscribed Scrolls

Inscribed Scrolls resulted in:
11 Scroll of Stamina V
15 Scroll of Intellect V
2 Scroll of Spirit V
4 Scroll of Agility V
3 Scroll of Strength V
7 Scroll of Protection V

Crates resulted in:
39 Knothide Scraps
18 Netherweave
11 Fel Iron Ore

Economics of A Catch
On our small populated server I do well at fishing. Fishing is good business! So though catching Mr Pinchy is a goal of many avid Fishermen the catch can be just as economically valuable. However if you fish Highland Mixed Pools for fun you get nice food Buffs with Spicy Crawdads from the Furious Crawdad. However it you sell the fish which I do both use for Tanking/Raiding and sell on AH.

1 Furious Crawdad Stack (20) 28-30g. (1.40-1.50 each)
1 Golden Darter Stack (20) 22-24g. (1.10 -1.20 each)

From the Valuable Fish Catch
4 Goldenscale Vendorfish = 24g at Vendor trade only 6g each.
17 Furious Crawdad = 510g minimum.
3 Golden Darter Stacks = 72g minimum.
Total 606g minimum + other fish + fishing loot + Primal Waters from Motes of Water.

And I will sell all those fish also, not that I need the money either. Who says fishing is not valuable when you do it for just FUN! Golden Darters you can fish from the Highland Mixed Pools or just from the lakes itself. However for me I just fish for relaxation and FUN. Now Mr Pinchy is caught for my project I've done everything in fishing I wanted to do. Form now on its just fun times when fishing.

Mr Pinchy Caught and........He Got Away...Cries

Been trying to catch the rare and elusive Mr Pinchy since the day I could fish in Highland Mixed Pools at the elevated lakes in Terokkar Forest. Every good fisherman dream to catch Mr Pinchy. I finally caught him and red handed on my fishing hook and HE GOT AWAY.

In the process of capturing the screenshot for you readers I hit the wrong key on my keyboard and before I could bind him as he is BoP Poof he was gone before I could even bind him. AHHHH.

/Cries
/Hearthbroken

I will catch him again and Im not going to make a single post until I catch him AGAIN. Too tough a statement to make there to live up to. I'm challenged to re-catch him again, so will see how long it will take. I'm gone get about 5 stacks of Aerodynamic Fish Attractors and fish the lakes till he crawls out on my hook. For some people high level fishing is Serious Business to get a Mr Pinchy. If anything I'm going to make a fortune catching Furious Crawdads and Golden Darters in the process. Will see how long it takes in my free time when not running Heroics.

Weekend Highland Fishing

The weekend was kinda laid back and uneventful for the most part. I'm usually always in LFG even for no good reason at all and sometimes just by habit I'm there, just to see whats happening. So did a SV run for a group needing a tank, which gets me closer to exalted with CE. Ran SL for a guildie that needed a SL run with 3 others from PuG. All unevenfull for the most. So most the weekend just did Fishing to restock supplies. I hadn't fished for a while so made a weekend just fishing and relaxing while I was in LFG.

Fished in Nagrand at the two big lakes from Fish Pools for some Ice Bluefin (+23 Spell DMG & +23 Spirit when cooked) and Figluster's Mudfish (+20 Agility & +20 Spirit when cooked). All great for tanking. If you hate to fish get used to it since all the best food buffs are from Fishing for food ingredients. So fished allot of fish and picked up lots of crates and motes of water. Think I got like 3 Primal Water all together. I just made the rounds from fish pool to fish pool in total relaxation and never had no competition for fishing pools. Actually never saw a single person while I was fishing. So stocked up my Alt GuildBank with lots of fish buff food.

Rest of time spent in Terokkar Forest fishing Highland Mixed pools for Furious Crawdads. I fished all 3 Highland Lakes just going from pool to pool and restart it all over. You need a Flying Mount to get to those areas. I had a bag full of Aerodynamic Fishing Attractors (+100 fishing for 10 mins) and just fished all the time. Most you can ever get from a vendor is 2 of those lures if they have them so I usually bank them and stock up for fishing. Combined the Lures (+100) with my Fishing Skill (375) and Fishing Rod (+25) thats 500 fishing to fish Highland Mixed Pools which you just about need to have. By the end of the weekend I had over 180 Furious Crawdads which makes Spicy Crawdads (+30 Stamina & +20 Spirit). Best food buff for Tanking around also. Also fished 85 Golden Darters which makes Golden Fish Sticks a nice healing food which I may sell for a handsome profit for a in demand fish. So I also have a Alt GuildBank full of Tanking Buff food. You don't have to ask me to farm food, I think I'm pretty good at it.

Fished up lots of Curious Crates which I left unopened and sent to one my Alt to inspect for the Fishing Journal. Since Galo already had the skill for Find Fish I can't view the journal in fished up crates if its even there at all. So had a alt do it and ended up with enough crates that each of my alt got their own Fishing Journal which was 6 journals. While fishing Highland Mixed pools fished up allot of Inscribed scrolls. In the end I had over 20+ scrolls. Lots of scrolls for Stamina/Agility/Intellect. I can make good use of those. Of all the places I've found scrolls ever I think I found the most fishing in Highland Mixed pools...Blizzard must have a sense of humor with fishing.

Fishing and Weather Beaten Journal

I love to fish for fun in WoW for R&R and for food buffs. Tanks consume lots of foods on every run for the added buffs. This is awesome fishing tracker just like finding herbs with the herb tracker for Herbalism which I have. Picked this up right after we got the recent patch. I just flew around Zangarmarsh and locating floating debris everywhere or floating steam pumps best place in Outland in my opinion to find these after all water everywhere. Any floating debris works to be able to fish one of these up in various different crates. Took me fishing in about 8-10 floating debris to get mine. You see the journal in it when you do fish up the crates.

If you pick up the journal when you spot it in the crate you can leave it there and not remove it. If you decide to keep fishing you can still fish up another crate with the journal in it as long as you never remove a journal from the crate as its BoP. However if you remove any one the journal from crate you will no longer see the other journal in any other crate you may have. Fish up as many as you can and if be sell the crates with the journal in them, mail it to your alts if you want or sell the complete crate to make money maybe. I just fished up one, that's all I needed.

Fishing Tracker on (yellow dots) in Terokkar Forest in the Highland areas over by Skettis in the lake. Tracking Highland Mixed Pools. Fished up lots Furious Crawdads. They only give you the best food stamina buff in the game making Spicy Crawdad (+30 Stam/+20 Sprit) currently and often very hard to get even with max fishing skill and a very good fishing rod. Need high level fishing about 475 for total (Skill+Rod+Lure) fishing to reliable catch these. I use Nat Pagle's Extreme Angler FC-5000 (Horde only). You need +100 fishing lures (10 minute lures) to use to catch them with a very good fishing rod. So I often stack those fishing lures whenever I see them at any vendor and save them up as you can only ever buy so much at 1 0r 2 a time. Make sure to get your self one these journals, you will not regret the time it takes to get one. At least I don't, ever seen the price of Furious Crawdad on AH. Its pure gold and you can bet I will be fishing up lots of them for my tanking use of course and AH as well.

Updated: One the nice things with the Fish Tracking is you can just be flying around doing whatever with fishing tracker on and spot fish pools. Drop down and fish get a mote or two. That's Awesome! Fishing is worth leveling, some people just decide not to have the patience to level it but its so usefull. I bet if Blizzard dropped some random Epics in the lakes or ocean more people would just for that.

Screenshots - Fishing in Azeroth

Fishing is good for you. Fishing is a good secondary profession. Fishing may be boring, but you can make the trip adventurous getting there. Fishing is FREE, it cost you no Armor Repairs. Fishing can be your Friend. Fishing can be GOLD to you, if think you think like a real Fisherman. Some people can be just flat broke in WoW with a ocean full of fish. When i look at the ocean i just see GOLD. You need the Fish, i can use the extra Gold.

Fish, its FREE.....so you don't have to Beg!! Give a man a fish feed him for the moment. Teach a man how to fish and he never goes hungry, at least you don't have to go Begging in Azeroth.

375 Fishing & a Snafu?

Did a bit of a world tour on the fishing front leveling up the fishing skill from 342-375 last night. Some of the best time to fish is at night. Fished in Azshara in a few spots, Hinterlands in "Forgotten Sea" for variety and ended in Winterspring for ice fishing in the lakes.

I loaded up on 20 ten minutes Bright Baubles and went fishing to level up the skill once and for all. Hadn't fished in Azahara before and headed to the coast there and exploring the coast a bit. Mobs there 52-54 or so mainly Naga mobs. Fished in "The Shattered Strand" and in "The Bay of Storms" Used up about 8 lore's so about 1.5hrs of fishing other than riding allover the zone picking some use full herbs when i saw them mainly Purple Lotus.

Fishing went OK caught a bit of fish for the most part. With the new changes to fishing since the patch 2.1 update i noticed what may be a bug maybe or a new problem that can make fishing a bit harder. Some people seem to only fish and watch TV or do other things when fishing in World of Warcraft because it can be a bit boring. Well it may be a bit harder for those folks fishing now on. The timer been changed from 30 sec to now 20 sec fishing to catch a fish. The change in the timer just runs down much faster and as a result during the times that the timer ever exceed 80% or more of the 20sec timer countdown you better pay attention and you probably will miss catching the fish. The thing is the bobbler will splash in water at the very last sec before the timer runs out and by the time you click on it, less than a sec it seems the timer runs out and poof you miss the catch. Before you had at least 2 sec you could click and catch the fish. Usually if you miss catch a fish due to low skill lvl it will say go when fish got away.

This happened to me over and over a bit when i started and i had 342 fishing and though no way i can't be catching fish here and it did not say fish got away either when it did. The thing is when the timer is almost running out you have to really watch it to the end and at the last sec as soon as you see the bobbler start to splash even before it finish splashing in the water you have to click on it very fast right away to ensure you catch the fish or you'll will miss the catch. I started to pay attention to this and this works. However the minute you slip up and not pay attention looking at something else you miss one again. It is very frustration, as i probably missed 10-15% of my catches, sucks!! JUST HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION NOW ON. Unless Blizzard fixes it soon. This never happened before as it gave you a sec or two when you clicked it to catch the fish before the patch. However i reported it to a ingame GM as a bug, got a GM response and they will report the issue with it.

Fishing is now at 375 and spent 16 (10) min Bright Baubles, about 3-3.5hrs total fishing time as some time i did not use a Bright Bauble. Had to hearth out to make a trip to clear the bag space and then switch zones to fish again.

Will report my catches here later: Fished from 8pm until past midnight.

Gone Fishing

I may have the Paladin Mount Quest to do a priorty and still work on straightening up my inventory. However i'm taking a detour from all those unless a few friends pop online that can help with mount quest. I'm scheduling Galo to go hit the coast and do some Azeroth Fishing tonight.

Fishing at night changes the kind of fish you can normally catch to some valuable ones i like to catch so will do that for tonight. I had though my fishing skills was at max lvl but it surprised me to note it was only at 342 i think it was. If i knew i would have gone fishing long before the patch 2.1 when double fish caught was still in effect. I completely missed noting what lvl fishing was still at.

Anyway gone fishing!

Fishing Nerfed!

On a side note if you haven't been fishing in a while. You were able to catch 2 fish at same time in some areas instead on just one. Happened to me after 300 fishing. Like 2 pairs of fish at a time, 2 valuable fish at a time etc. I often caught 2 fish in the Forbidden Sea at a time, this was a hoot to say the least. Well with the new patch it no longer happens. Blizzard says it was a bug! They take the fun out of everything. Nerfed!

I'm gonna miss having boat loads of StoneScale Eel for Alchemy to make StoneScale Potions (2000 Armor for 2 min). BUMMER!

Well that's a little nerf if you didn't like fishing you never knew about. And people said fishing wasn't fun. Try fishing and collection over 15 stacks of 20 stacks of fish. Hows that for fishing fun.

New Patch 2.1 Changes Comes Today.

With the new Patch going live today for Patch 2.1 the list of changes is pretty long to say the least. I make a copy of the entire list to look at when i can but i made some snippet of the changes for both the changes to Paladin's class and to the Alchemy & Herbalism Profession. As well as a few things that may impact those two professions both best i can see in the long list of changes i could gather so far. List below is a direct extraction of the changes posted in the Patch downloaded notes. Will take a while to get use to all the changes good or bad and to the Paladins nerf. Alchemy had some nice new changes though.

Paladins

  • Ardent Defender (Protection) now reduces damage taken by 6-30% when below 35% health.
  • Avenger's Shield no longer has a minimum range. It may be used on any target within 30 yards.
  • Avenger's Shield: The damage portion of this ability will now be applied even if the victim is immune to snare.
  • Blessing of Light: Paladins can now cast this as intended when they have Greater Blessing of Light on themselves.
  • Consecration: Corrected a tooltip typo. Low ranks of this ability being cast by high-level players are now being properly penalized.
  • Divine Shield: This ability no longer removes or prevents the Weakened Soul debuff.
  • Eye for an Eye: Some spells did not trigger Eye for an Eye correctly. That has been fixed.
  • Fixed some data errors that caused Seal of Command and Seal of Blood to generate more threat than intended.
  • Forbearance: It is no longer possible to use a macro to gain the benefit of Avenging Wrath and Divine Shield at the same time.
  • Forbearance: If this debuff would prevent you from casting a spell on a given target, the button for that ability is now grayed out.
  • Greater Blessing of Kings: The cost for this blessing is now twice the cost of Blessing of Kings, instead of a fixed cost of 150.
  • Greater Blessing of Sanctuary 2: The range on this spell was incorrectly set to 30 yards. It has been changed to 40 yards.
  • Greater Blessing of Wisdom 3: The range on this spell was incorrectly set to 30 yards. It has been changed to 40 yards.
  • Hammer of Wrath: Rank 4, damage increased.
  • Illumination: This talent now only gives 60% of the mana cost of the critical heal. It also now returns the correct amount of mana when used with ranks 4 and 5 of Holy Shock.
  • Improved Concentration Aura (Protection Talent) no longer increases resistance to Interrupt/Silence mechanics, but instead reduces the duration of Interrupt/Silence mechanics by 10/20/30%.
  • Improved Sanctity Aura now increases all damage caused by affected targets by 1/2% and no longer increases healing done to affected targets.
  • Improved Seal of Righteousness: The percentage increase in damage from this talent is now applied after all bonuses from items and effects which increase your spell damage.
  • New Protection Talent added: Improved Holy Shield, 2 ranks: Increases damage caused by Holy Shield by 10/20% and increases the number of charges of Holy Shield by 2/4.
  • One-Handed Weapon Specialization(Protection): Now increases all damage caused by the paladin by 1-5% while a one-handed weapon is equipped.
  • Seal of Blood: This seal will no longer cause additional chances for weapon procs to trigger.
  • Seal of Righteousness: This seal will no longer cause additional chances for weapon procs to trigger.
  • Seal of the Crusader: The rank 7 tooltip has been fixed to read the same as other ranks of this spell.
  • Spiritual Attunement: First-aid generated healing will no longer trigger this ability. However, Lifebloom, Earth Shield, and Improved Leader of the Pack will now trigger it correctly. The tooltip has been adjusted to indicate it only works on healing from spells. It will also now work correctly when you are mounted or sitting.
  • Spiritual Attunement: Mana is no longer healed if the paladin is at full health.
  • Stoicism (Protection) should now properly affect all magic effects cast by the Paladin and no longer applies double its intended benefit to Blessing of Might and Blessing of Wisdom.
  • Vengeance (Retribution) now increases Holy and Physical damage by 1/2/3/4/5% for 15 seconds following a critical hit, but the effect now stacks up to 3 times.
  • Vindicator Aesom at Blood Watch will now correctly train a full range of paladin spells.

Professions Changes.

Well better remove all those herbs i have just sitting in my mail box and get alchemy to 375 asap, 13 skill points and I'm there. I guess i can not drop my 1 unused talent point in the new Holy Shield. Will have to see how this is gonna change my spec all together.

Weekend in Review, in Screenshots!

Completed a Hinterland Quest finding a guy at a temple and while i was at it saw some water and decided to fish. I always have my nice fishing rod. I got some Nightfin Fish. They can be caught at night time. They good for making a dish that helps you regen mana at 8 per 5sec for 10 min. They work for me since as i move to higher level i need every bit of mana i can conserve or make while fighting. Had fun watching some Night Elves in the background fight some mobs. Why does it always take 2 Alliance members one a (???) to do the work of killing a mob that one Horde does on his own?

Went to another pond to see what else i can catch. Caught some more fish here Nightfins and some others lvl up fishing some more. Headed off to the Upper Hinterland and fished in the Forbidden Sea, by Horde Camp. Nice place to fish. Caught a bit more fish and some valued ones. Caught 4 wopping size groupers one a 47, 52 and a 40lbs grouper. If you catch these you can't sell them or vendor them. But you can give to a hunter and some pets love um and make your per damm right very happy. What else they do not sure but they have like 5 charges on them.

Gone Fishing!

Went fishing off the Forbidden Coast for lvling up fishing as its a important skill to a Alchemist also for ingredients & potion making. However, for me as a player i like to always maximize my skills as much as possible and not to let them lag. Most people in WoW seem to hate to fish and that's a competitive advantage if you can figure that out in the WoW Economy, if you get what i mean. However i'm a patient guy and cool tempered so it appeals to fish anyway.

Quick fishing tip if you like to fish, is to always carry a good fishing rod in bag always unless at way higher lvl maybe. But i always have the rod, you never know when you see a pond somewhere that you may want to see what's in it. Any pond of water anywhere can yield something or who knows what. Always use a lore of some kind to increase the catch or skill lvl fishing to increase catch rate or success. In over a hour fishing time i racked up some big fishing numbers, lvl up fishing to 315 and i discovered something new also as a result. Maybe its due to the fact that i now have Master Fishing skill for 375, but it now seem that at that lvl when you fish you catch 2 fish at same time vs just one before. You can really rack up some numbers fishing in short period of time at this lvl.

On average it takes 10 successfull catch to raise you skill 1 lvl in fishing thats pretty much a fact i have discovered over time, so you can count the numbers. That mean raising my skill last night by 13 point i pulled up around 260+ fish, treasure chests, and other things interesting. Not everything you catch will be just fish alone. You can also pull up Herbs, Treasure Chests, Rare Armour or something special. I did catch a rare 40lbs grouper also, always funny to catch these, makes a hunters per very happy. So many reasons to go fishing in WoW. All in all a good peacefull time fishing, too bad i can't catch "Coral" the Elite Shark. Must blog on my shark bite encounter with him off the Misty Reef in Swamp of Sorrows a few days ago.

Feralas

I like been out in Feralas area, its a nice area to Solo from low 40's lvl up and have a nice fishing spot there also. There is a nice spot there to fish in the river in middle of map where the bridge is, its also where you get a quest fish for Artesian fishing quest from Nate Pag. Tried to catch some Stonescale Eel fish in the river there and no luck for 20 min but did catch a bunch of fish and lvl up fishing to 302 a bit since i picked up Master Angler Training for fishing to raise skill to 375.

Went hunting for some food supplies (currently out of buff foods) and killed a bunch of wolfs and other mobs, stormed some raider & shaman camps (fun) and had fun doing AOE smackdown on a Brute camp refining some pally combo skills. Found some Purple lotus herbs in this area as it has lots of ruins. This area is pretty fun. Completed one quest from Tanaris here, but i barely quested in this area to say the least and need to revisit here should be pretty easy to complete most quests here quickly. I would say in the 40's Tanaris and Feralas some the best place to solo quest in, Tanaris been a desert area and Feralas more lush green forested area with ruins.

Need to do some more fishing to lvl up the skill vs trying to just reach 48, its fun anyway never know what you will fish up. So heading to do deep water fishing in the Forbidden Sea and catch some very good rare fish and to lvl up cooking skills for food. I once caught a 52 lbs grouper here so gona try my luck there again. To me its one of the best places to fish in the Forbidden Sea.
